Gemstone Therapy for Anxiety

The use of Gemstone therapy for curing ailments isn't a new one and spans the globe and the centuries, from ancient Chinese medicines to Native American Shamanismto Ayurvedic treatments. Gemstone therapy has been around for longer than we can imagine..

The present day gemstone therapy though doesn't deal in elixirs and staged a come back in the early 1960's to 1970's.

The therapy is said to work by balancing certain points within you thereby balancingyour bodily well being and promoting good health. Although there are a few different ways to perform this therapy the most favored one seems to be the Chakra method. With this method your body can be brought backinto balance utilizing the seven chakra centers which listed below with names of colors place in brackets

The Root Chakra - is located at the base of your spine (Red, can even be Black or Brown)

The Navel Chakra - can be found just below your navel (Orange)

The Solar Plexus Chakra - is just below the breastbone (Yellow)

The Heart Chakra - is to be located in the center of your chest (Green or Pink)

The Throat Chakra - is at the base of your throat (Light Blue)

The Third Eye Chakra - can be located between your eyebrows (Indigo)

The Crown Chakra - is at the top of your head (Violet or White)

By placing a specific gem or gems in a certain sequence on your sevenchakra points your body can be brought back into proper balance. Whichgem you chose and where it goes, depends partly on your ailment andpartly on which color category it belongs to. The colors placed withinthe brackets at the end of each of the seven chakra points, is there toindicate which color corresponds to which chakra.

However, if you're thinking of trying this therapy, don't rush out andbuy the nearest gemstone that matches a color that you think might beright for curing anxiety and use it on yourself. Different gems will beused to treat different conditions and what might work for curinganxiety or panic might not work in the curing of insomnia. Also anotherthing that you might want to think about is whether you want to treatyourself or get an experienced practitioner to treat you. Either waythough there are some things that you will need to be aware of first.

If you're treating yourself or even going to someone, you need to makesure that the gemstones used in the therapy are the real thing, assynthetic man made gems won't be able to help you in the same way. Alsoif you're going to someone else who can perform this therapy makecertain the person is legitimate beforehand. There are many people outthere who're just waiting to relieve you of your hard earned money.Unfortunately these people are also to be found alongside the moregenuine practitioners so you'll have your job cut out for you infinding the right gemstone therapist for you.

Since we've covered the main necessary ideas involved in GemstoneTherapy, listed below a few gemstones that are good for curing anxietyand panic. These are only a few of the possible gemstones and you canbe assured that there will be more.

Reiki for Anxiety

Like many alternative treatments Reiki is fairly new on the western front but is gaining inpopularity due to the number of people who're trying to get away fromthe use of drugs to control their conditions. These days, people arelooking more and more for methods that will either cure or prevent their ailments rather than merely controlling them alone as is what tends to happen with prescription drugs.

Unlike counterpart alternative treatment methods such as Ayurveda and Acupuncture, the history of Reiki only dates back to the early 20th century when Mikao Usui developed the practice. Reiki gained a following however and movedacross the globe to America where it's now more popular there than inJapan, its birth country.

The word Reiki is derivedfrom the Japanese pronunciation of two Chinese characters "Rei" meaningsoul, or spirit, and "Ki" meaning life force or life energy. If youread the section on Acupuncture you'll recognize the Ki as Qi or Chi.In this context they all convey the same idea of life force energy.

Reiki healing has sometimes been compared to the "Laying on of hands"method of healing. This method, the hands method that is, is infinitelyreligious whereas as the Reiki method isn't religious. Although MikaoUsui did gain the ability to "heal without energy depletion" afterfasting and meditating for three weeks on Mount Kurama in Japan, Reikihealing isn't dependent on religious belief to cure. More a belief inthe cure and the treatment method are what's needed and that couldreally be said of just about any line of treatment even westernmedicine. If you don't trust and believe in your practitioner you're less likely to take heed of any advice or even treatment that isoffered to you.

How Reiki works though isn't by using traditional methods such assticking needles into you or giving you nasty smelling potions todrink. Reiki works by drawing energy into the practitioner, flowingthrough specific chakra's before finally entering the patient via thepractitioner's hands.

Reiki energy is thought to be an intelligent energy knowing where to gowithout being directed. So once the energy has left the practitionerand entered the patient the Reiki energy will go directly to the spotthat needs to be healed. If the patient is skeptical or somehowunwilling to accept treatment the Reiki energy won't work. For Reiki to work the patient has to believe 100% that the treatment method is genuine. Not too much to ask really

Yoga for Anxiety

Going as far back as 5,000years ago Yoga is an ancient and timeless tradition enduring throughthe centuries as only a few things have done. Yoga is known primarilyin the west for its healing and regenerative properties of the mind andbody and started life in ancient India as a way for the dedicatedfollower to attain the highest form of enlightenment. In India thisoriginal practice of Yoga still continues much as it did 5,000 yearsago with perhaps only a few changes.

The branches ofYoga that came over to the west were later modified to suit the westernculture straying away from any overt religious teachings. Some of theideas that are inherent in the original Yoga practices however arestill to be found in the modern day western Yoga practices. Thisinvolves nothing more complicated than teaching a state of mindfulnessand wellbeing to the student of Yoga to help them in understanding theunderlying concept behind each posture or "asana" as it is called. Youwill also find that Hatha Yoga is the more predominant form of Yogathat is practiced here. Hatha Yoga leans more towards the physical aspect of Yoga and has more to do with poses and postural sequencesthan do any of the other branches of Yoga.

If you're interested intrying Yoga for yourself as a way to defeat your anxiety attacks don'tbe put off by what you might perceive as religious teachings. This issimply not the case especially if you're joining a class that's held atyour local gym. Along with the stress releasing postures and mindrelaxing techniques you'll also get an insight into the reason behind each posture and gradually be able to find the postures that suit youand that are able to relieve your anxiety.

As with all things these days, if you want to learn something it's aseasy as picking up your phone or buying a how-to book, or even justwalking into your gym and making enquiries. If you're able to cope withit I would suggest the gym method as it will get you on the right pathfrom the get go. With the self teaching method you're prone to learnmore of the wrong usage of techniques but if you're unable to leave thehouse or don't like crowds then this is a good way to start.

You also need to be aware that some more advanced postures should onlybe attempted when an experienced Yoga practitioner is present to helpyou. Some of the postures are also not recommended if you're suffering from certain ailments such as backache or even knee pain. These can becorrected through Yoga but only by doing the postures that are rightfor that condition as otherwise you might make it worse.

Yoga is a healthy and natural way to get rid of all your pent up stressand anxiety and will help to bring balance back into your world. Aswith any new thing however it will take time and practice before youget it right but if you persevere and continue I must say that thebenefits to be had from practicing Yoga far out weigh any initial frustration you may have.

Superstitions!

What are superstitions?

Superstitions are beliefs or practices for which there appears to be no rational substance.

It is a term designated to these beliefs that result from ignorance and fear of the unknown.

Those who use the term imply that they have certain knowledge or superior evidence for their scientific, philosophical, or religious convictions.

An ambiguous word, it probably cannot be used ecxept subjectively. Ignorance of natural causes leads to the belief that certain striking phenomena express the will or the anger of some invisible overruling power, and the objects in which such phenomena appear are forthwith deified, as example, in Nature-worship.

Conversely, many superstitious practices are due to an exaggerated notion or a false interpretation of natural events, so that effects are sought which are beyond the efficiency of physical causes.Curiosity also with regard to things that are hidden or are still in the future plays a considerable part, example, in the various kinds of divination.

With this qualification in mind, superstitions may be classified roughly as religious, cultural and personal. All religious beliefs and practices may seem superstitious to the person without religion.

Superstitions that belong to the cultural tradition are enormous in their variety.

Nearly all persons, in nearly times, have held, seriously, irrational beliefs concerning methods of warding off ill or bringing good, foretelling the future, and healing and preventing sickness and accidents. A few specific folk traditions, such as beliefs in the evil eye or in the efficacy of amulets, have been found in most periods of history and inmost parts of the world. Others may be limited to one country, region or village, to one family, or to one social or vocational group.

Finally, people develop personal superstitions: a student writes a good form of literary piece with a certain pen, and from that moment the pen is lucky; a horseplayer may be convinced that black horses run well for him.

Superstitions has been deeply influential in history. Even in so-called modern times, in a day when objective evidenceis highly valued, there are few people who would not, if pressed, admit to cherishing secretly one or two irrational beliefs or superstitions. Such superstitious ideas persist not withstanding the evidence which oppose their validity.

It's bad luck to walk under a ladder: Again, a bit of reality. Something can fall on you, even the ladder itself.

Superstitions from the Ancient World

Knock wood:Knocking wood for luck may well come from times when people believedthat trees served as the homes for protective spirits or gods. Sincetrees are so firmly rooted in the earth, knocking wood may have had theadditional aspect of intensifying a wish.

An itchy hand means money's coming (or leaving): This probably came from times when money was scarce enough that holding it was a noticeable experience.

See a penny, pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck: Especially popular when a penny bought a loaf of bread, a sack of grain or a pitcher of ale.

Heads for good luck, tails for bad luck: Especially when coins showed the faces of ruling monarchy, it was an easy step to the idea that face up meant the spirit of the ruler looked favorably on your wish or bet.

Carry a rabbit's foot for luck:Whoever had a rabbit's foot had probably also had a good rabbitdinner. The great fertility of rabbits and their large litters gaverabbits a somewhat magical air before Biology 101.

Black cats bring bad luck: Forcenturies cats were associated with the dark side of magic andpossessed of nine lives and serving as mediums for witches. Modern catowners will tell you that few cats are completely black, the color ofwitchcraft. Having one cross your path was a sign of evil spirits.

Drop a knife/spoon/fork, and company will come:The best guess for this belief lies in centuries-old standards ofhospitality. Travel was dangerous, and folk traditions of all kindsemphasize the importance of welcoming strangers. Surely the aroma of ameal in preparation would likely draw a friend or traveling stranger, and at mealtime utensils were most likely subject to being dropped

Superstitions About Rare Experiences

Finding a four-leaf clover is lucky: If you've ever searched for one, the rarity could certainly be thought to mean something.

A sudden shiver:This is said to mean that someone is walking on your grave. In a smalltown with a small graveyard, one can picture it happening.

Warm or itchy ears: This is said to mean someone is talking about you. Again, in a small community, that might be.

Sneezing: Don't let the soul escape. The origins of the German invocation, Gesundheit!, and the automatic English response, Bless you!

Superstitions About Common Mistakes

Break a mirror, bring seven-years' bad luck:For centuries glass in any form was handmade, expensive and precious.Coating the back of a glass with silver to create a reflectionincreased the cost. A poor family might save for years to own a mirror.

Spilled salt brings the devil: Saltwas precious long ago and used to preserve and season food. Wastingsomething precious might be regarded as a sin of carelessness. That'swhy bad luck is neutralized by throwing a pinch of salt over theshoulder and into the devil's eyes. The devil is said tostand behind the left shoulder, which is a reflection of ancient andvaried superstitions about right and left body parts.

Superstitions That Defy Explanations

Step on a crack, break your mother's back: One hopes quite desperately that someone was just fishing for a jump-rope word that rhymed.

Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home; your house is on fire, and your children will burn: If this is the case, why are we so cheerful when we recite this superstition?

Whateverthe basis of superstitions they provide a wonderful window into a worldwhere people struggled to understand and interpret the meaning of the world around them, leaving us insights into how they lived and whatthey cared about.

Red sky at night, sailors' delight; red sky at morning, sailors take warning:This may actually have some basis in nautical observations. Clouds enhance the color of sunsets and sunrises. The red morning skyforetells a day of possible bad weather. Evening clouds may pass duringthe night.

A common superstition is that if a black cat crosses your path, a barrier of evil is created between you and heaven

Friday the 13th

There are many different theories about the origin of 13 beingconsidered an unlucky number. Tracing the superstitions back, theearliest theories claim that in ancient religion, Valhalla, the home ofthe Gods, had twelve guests at a feast and a thirteenth, the God ofDeceit, turned up uninvited. Others believe that the 13 started withwitches' covens having 12 members, making 13 when the devil appeared atsatanic ceremonies, although this may have been an attempt by thechurch to discredit witches as, prior to Christianity, 13 wasconsidered a sacred number, representing the 13 moons of the year.

For Christians, 13 was the number at the Last Supper when Judas betrayed Jesus. It is also claimed that Adam and Eve were expelled fromthe Garden of Eden on a Friday, Noah's flood started on a Friday andChrist was crucified on a Friday so it is likely these days and numberscombined were given the sigil of bad luck.

Ladders

Pragmatists would say that you don't walk under ladders in case they fall on you. One belief is that the ladder forms a triangle withthe floor and the ground and, depending on who you speak to, thiseither represents a holy symbol from Egyptian times or the holy trinityfrom Christianity. Either way, walking through that triangle, violatesit and brings bad luck.

Animals

Many people believe that a rabbit's foot is a lucky charm but thisbegan with the belief that witches turned themselves into hares toescape capture so carrying a hare's foot (rabbit's foot) would protectyou from them. This practice flourished in medieval times!

In Egyptian times, black cats were revered and one of theirgoddesses even took the form of a cat. In post Christian times, theblack cat is considered evil for its association with witches.Ironically, a black cat walking towards you is considered lucky whileone walking away is said to be stealing your luck.

Weddings

Perhaps one of the most practiced yet least appreciated of Westernsuperstition is at weddings where traditional forms are followedwithout realising their significance. The bride's veil is to protecther from evil spirits who are jealous of happiness. Similarly, thebridesmaids are there as decoys to distract the bad spirits. The brideis carried over the threshold to stop her from tripping which isconsidered bad luck and therefore a bad start to the marriage. Rice, thrown after the ceremony, has always been a symbol of fertility toencourage procreation. And wedding rings are gold and plain, a symbolof eternity, and are worn on the left 'ring finger' because it wasbelieved that a vein runs from that finger to the heart.

Whenever I go around a pole or something with a friend and they go theother way, I double back and go that way. Like they go to the left and I went to the right, I have to go back and go left.

I try to keep my younger cousins away from mirrors.

Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck! (unless it's tails up)

I'm not very fond of the number 4.

However, I consider the number 13 my lucky number.

And I don't think Friday the 13th is unlucky.

There are many of these kinds of handmade bracelets available.. more things to come.. in "Chairity's store" above. For different reasons and different beads.

Tips for Your Crystals and gemstone jewelry plus... Cleaning, Cleansing, Recharging.....

It is important for the jewelry .. They are extremely sensitive to our thoughts, emotions, images, vibrations...

Preparing YourCrystalFor Healing

To prepare your crystal for healing, first clean the crystal physically ofanymud, oils, sand or other debris. Then using a cleansingtechnique, be sure any negative energies are removed from the crystalsothat you do not transfer residual energies onto yourself or yourclient. For maximum healing effects, charging crystalswill ensure the crystal is ready electromagnetically and is saturatedwithultraviolet light which energizes each crystal. To "wake-up" yourcrystal, you may need to activate it into itsroleand mission.. And finally, programyourcrystal to direct the energy for a specific outcome or for supportduringa healing session.

CleaningCrystals

If you purchased a crystal with mud on it, chances are it still haspart of the growth matrix on it. The matrix is the part of the earththatthe crystal grows in, full of mineral nutrients. Try using a dry brushfirst, to remove what you can but be careful as the crystal may besofterthan the matrix it grows in. Then use a warm water bath and a stiffscrubbrush for coarse crystals or a flexible medium-soft toothbrush for morebrittle crystals. I sometimes use a high foaming dishwashing detergentwith a scrub brush, using the lather to lift off small pieces of gritandsand from tight corners. The matrix on quartz crystals is usuallyyellow, somewhat cakey-hard like mud and can be removed in a 2-5 day bath ofoxalicacid if brushing and water doesn't take it off. I suggest that you lookat the following link to SweetSurrender Mines in Arkansas which details the process better than Icould write here for you.. A chemist/phamacist may be able to get theoxalicacid for you or try contacting one of the many mines on the web.Use 1 part oxalic acid to 2 parts water. As for "normal" mud, I suggestthat you use a warm water bath and/or a high pressure hose stream atthemud. You can pick at the mud with a firm wooden stick. If you use asteeltool, you will probably scratch or break the crystal as steel is harderthan the crystal. Let your crystal dry in the sun and catch those rays!

CleansingCrystals

Once you have cleaned the crystalphysically, the next step is to cleanse the crystal of unwantedvibrationsand energies that come from other people handling the crystals duringitsmining, packing, transportation, unpacking and display before it hasactuallyreached you. Crystals tend to take on energy indicriminately and likewearingsomeone else's clothing, you can feel what's not the right energyfor you.

I have read and heard a lot frompeople advised to do everything from burying their crystals in salt forseveral weeks to performing elaborate cleansing ceremonies. Do what youfeel comfortable with and what makes sense to you. Experiment and seewhatworks for you. From my own extensive experience, I recommend using asaltwater bath for crystals that are able to take salt. Salt is really goodfor removing negative energies from most crystals. However, somecrystalslike Angelite and some marbles and pearls are sensitive to salt andtheirsurfaces can be damaged very quickly in a salt bath. For those, you canuse a smudge (see below.).

You don't really need to soakyourcrystals very long in salt water. A minimum of 7 hours is usually allthatis needed unless you have crystals that are extremely toxic for somereason. When I do some really, really heavy clearing with clients (exorcismlevel),I will soak the crystals is heavily saturated salt water for 3-4 daysorlonger. However, in normal daily wearing of crystals, a light short 7hourbath every 2 weeks or so is fine. Get a plastic bowl large enough toholdyour crystal(s). Glass is fine but it is a hard surface and you couldchipyour crystals easily if not careful. Fill the bowl with water to coverthe crystals by about 1 inch. Room temerature water is fine and itwouldbe best to have spring water whch is "alive" with nutrients thatcrystalslike. For more refined energies, use distilled water. It doesn't matterto the crystal unless you go back and forth between extremes of veryhotand very cold (even Pyrex has a maxium tolerance). Then, for eachcrystal, add 1 tablespoon of salt as a rough guideline. The "perfect" cleansingsolution is a 30% solution of sea salt and spring water. If you havegenuinesea water, use that ! As a intuitive, I usually just throw a handful ofsalt over the crystals and just leave the bucket in the sun to soak.

Try using a pendulum to help youdetermine when the crystals are ready to come out of the bath. Thismethodworks well for me, although I usually walk past the cleansing crystalsand intuitively know when they are "done". When you pour off the saltwater,do not touch the water or you will be transferring the negativeenergiesback onto yourself. remember to thoroughly rinse off any salt resideuefrom your crystals. I let the crystals drip on to newpapers or teatowels.

Some people ask if there is adifferencebetween using sea salt and table salt (rock salt). There is. Mostpeopleare not very sensitive to subtle energies. In my experience, I findthatsea salt leaves the crystals with a different feeling than table salt.Sea salt has a more refined energy signature with a lot of smallrainbow-colouredvibrations. Table salt is like a workhorse, less subtle, more coarseandhas clunky yellow and grey-blue vibrations. If I plan to use a crystalat my upper chakras (3rd Eye or Crown), I will want it cleansed in seasalt, as these centres are very refined on my body and I prefer themoresubtle vibration. Wouldn't you ? Try soaking two crystals - one in seasalt and onbe in table salt. Rinse thoroughly and then see if you cantellthe difference energetically.

I've also smudged crystals withsage, sweetgrass or incense such as frankincense to cleanse them. This isespeciallygood for crystals that cannot be soaked in salt water. I usually spendabout 3-7 minutes doing a smudge, fanning the incense over the crystalswith a feather fan. This is particularly good of you have a wholecabinetfull of crystals or some that are very large and awkward to bathe. Trynot to use your hand as a fan - as the smoke rises, it pulls out andtakesthe negative energies away from the crystal. Passing your hand inthis smoke will track these negative energies onto yourself. Don'tforgetto give yourself a good smudge to clear your own negative energies, especiallyyour hands which are handling crystals directly. You can also rinse yourhands in salt water after using the crystals either on yourself orsomeoneelse.

ChargingCrystals

Sunlight re-charges crystals with ultrviolet light, sometimes calledlight radiation. You see, when the crystal comes from the Earth, it ishas been nutured in yin energy, the feminine. The crystal has beentakingnutrients from the ground - gases, water, various minerals and othernutrientsto develop into a crystal. When it is "harvested" from the Earth, it isbeing removed from the yin energies and needs now to receive yangenergiesas its source of energy renewal. So, the ultrviolet light from the sun,the full spectrum of light, restores the crystals depleted energies.Thetime it takes depends on the crystal's capacity to absorb the light(it'scrystalline energy structure has a lot to do with it), the stage ofenergydepletion within the crystal, and I think the will of the person whohasbeen handling the crystal. Typically, I find 4 hours in the sun once aweek keeps a small crystal energetic and alert. However, some crystalsrequire a much longer time to recharge. You can experiment with thecrystalby putting it in the sun for 1 week then holding it in your hand. Youmayreceive and energy discharge from the crystal ! Also use your pendulumto check if it is ready and also to find out the percentage ofreplenishment.

There are another six methods of re-charging crystals that I teachinmy crystal healing classes. Programming a crystal will also take upsomeof the energy of a crystal and that you may need to recharge more oftendepending on the usage of the crystal. Also crystals vary a lot betweeneach other in terms of ability to store energy. Size has something todowith it, but also the energy structure of each crystal will bedifferent.inits ability to hold an energy charge.

ActivatingYour Crystal

Some readers will not be familiarwith how to activate a crystal. Sometimes, a crystal can be a"sleeper",and needs to know it is going to be used for healing or meditativepurposes.Making a spiritual connection with the crystal helps to activate it, toawaken its consciousness. You can activate your crystal through aninitiationritual, by holding it, rolling it quickly back and forth in your hands, sleeping with it, gazing at it, washing it and generally handling it.Toawaken its consciousness through ritual, offer some sage, sweetgrass ortabacco and indicate your intent for use of the crystal (e.g. forhealing). This event marks the initiation of the crystal and makes an energyconnectionwith the person using the crystal. Remember to fully recharge yourcrystalafter you've been handling it for activation purposes.

ProgrammingCrystals

Why do we want to program our crystals? There is a folklore that crystals carry programming (a set ofinstructions)put there by other people or other beings before we acquire thecrystalsand that sometimes we do not want that. Well, I have the view thatfirst, crystals come on the planet already with a set of instructions on howtogrown, what structure, where, how fast and with what energycharacteristics- just like humans who have a set of genetic instructions. Thisinherentpattern cannot be changed. It is up to your own belief systemwhetherthere were extra-terrestials or others who have loaded instructionsintocrystals or not. Let's move on then.

Second, each crystal has its ownmission, or its own programming for healing. Sometimes, it is toprovidea grounding force on the planet, maybe working energetically with othercrystals in the earth to provide a network of stabile energy across theplanet as part of the physical matrix of the planet. Sometimes, thecrystalwill carry a specific energy signature by resonating tones, colours andother vibrations that are provided through compassionate forces forhumansand other life forms on Earth. Crystal people sometimes say that acrystalresonates for a particular chakra, or has a mission to "clear apastlife" for instance. We don't want to harm that type of programmingeither.

Third, there is a blank databasein each crystal. This is a spiritual (ie, not physical) energy centrewhichhas the ability to store new instruction. Just like humans who haveinfinatecapacity for spirituality, the crystal can translate and absorb anenergysignature from outside itself and store it into a crystalline energystructurewithin itself. Now this is the real esoteric work of a crystal ! Themundanescience of a crystal explains some of how these energy instructions arestored, but now we've left that far behind now and are going into anareaof deep inner science! This database sometimes gets filled upwithunconscious instructions from people handling the crystal, unaware theyare projecting energy thought forms that are picked up and stored bythecrystal. So, we will want to be sure that the database is empty of anyunknown programming first. When we add our set of instructions.Thecrystal will then resonate with those instructions, amplifying, broadcasting, and projecting the new set of energy patterns to ourselves or others asdirected.

Here are some differentprogrammingtechniques used with crystals.

1) A simple method is writinga thought on a piece of paper then placing a crystal on top to absorbthethought energy. The crystal magnifies the thought and acts as thetransmitter, sending the thought in its amplified state to the target person orthingmentioned in the note. You can also use one of the other methods belowand place the crystal on a person's photograh to send them an amplifiedthought.

2) You can also program your crystalby holding it in your hand then breathing in through your nose, holdthethought in your mind of what you want, then forcefully breath out(snort!) into the crystal through your nose. Do this on each side of thecrystalto program it. There are 6 sides to a clear quartz crystal. This is apowerfulprogramming technique that I teach in my classes and hope you willbenefitfrom it. You can also read about this technique at the Vogel-CutCrystal site.

3) Another method is to create acircular breath by holding the thought of what you desire in your mindand then breath slowly and naturally through your nose into the crystaland then breath energy back in from the crystal. Repeat this circular breathfor 10 - 20 minutes. This is an effective meditative techniqueand isquitepowerful to direct your mind for positive results.

You can put as many thoughts, affirmationsor items such as holographic images into your crystal. Whenever youwantto clear them out, just forcefully breathe the word "CLEAR!" into thecrystal6 times (one for each side of the crystal) and this will be done. Bytheway, if you are holoding a crystal and are thinking bad thoughts, don't.Put the crystal down and clear your mind. Revisit yout intent and thenyou can proceed to use the crystal, unless you need to cleanse thecrystalof any negativity its picked up or to clear it of any unintentionalprogramming.Crystals are indiscriminate about energy, but Spirit isn't - so please use them for positive purposes.

Developing Psychic Abilities Within

Developing Psychic Abilities Within

How To Become Psychic

How to become psychic? The first step is to realize you are already psychic.

Unfortunately, there is a big difference between knowing something intellectually and knowing something within your very being.

Weall had significant life-changing experiences, whether they werethrough dreams, visions, relationships or physical experiences. Theproblem is we are accustomed to see everything through the lenses ofnormality.

If an experiencedoesn't fit our normal expectations, we tend to simply ignore whatdoesn't fit and close our eyes to it. A psychic opens his or her eyesinstead.

To become psychic, cast away your expectations, rationalizations, and false knowledge! Trust your psychic self.

Pay attention to the world inside yourself and outside yourself, and you will learn first hand how to become psychic.

Psychic ability is present either through talent or skill. Psychictalent is essentially the unconscious use of psychic skill. Psychicability that is present through talent has drawbacks: limited accuracy, overspecialization, lack of flexibility. There are also potentialdangers, because psychic ability is a tool to be used with care.

Psychicability that is present through conscious skill is the mark of a true, aware psychic. Talents are stepping stones - they have to be convertedinto skills.

There are no shortcuts to developing psychic skills: self-discipline and self-reflection are basic requirements.

Psychic development is closely related to personal development. Successfulpsychic development does indeed include a lot of practice and activedoing, but it goes much deeper than that. What matters with psychicdevelopment is who you are, and not so much what you do. This isbecause the psychic's primary tool is the psychic himself/herself.

Ifyou expect that by psychic development you can just tack on yourself afew extra skills, you are mistaken. Observing clearly inner change, inner processes is a requirement, and by these observations you changeyourself. Psychic ability does not come directly from the outside, butis allowed to manifest from within. It is a kind of integration of theoutside world and the inside world; making the two into a unified whole.

Personaldevelopment includes working on self-discipline, prioritization ofgoals, decision-making, courage and confidence, written and verbalcommunication etc. Without self-discipline, it is difficult to handlepsychic energies. Without prioritization, it is easy to get lost.Without decision-making, you might linger on in an unhealthy state.Without courage, you will be immobilized by fear. Withoutcommunication, it will be difficult to understand psychic shapes andforms. And so on, every personal deficiency becomes even moreaccentuated in the psychic realm.

Findingand establishing your true self is the core part of the psychicdevelopment process. It's okay to take some time in life to findyourself, but at one point it becomes necessary not only to find butalso actively develop and create the person you wish to be.

Although 'psyche' means 'mind', a psychic is not simplya person who uses only the mind. (A rational scientist fits thatdescription better.)

A psychic is one who uses his or her entire being, including the mind.

A psychic mind is a clear, balanced and open mind. All three characteristics of the are important.

Apsychic mind cannot be closed and narrow-sighted. A closed mind createsits own small world with its own rules and delusions, and severs thebalance between the inner and outer worlds.

Apsychic mind that is not clear places many obstructions before itself, and cannot clearly conduct psychic awareness or psychic abilities.

A psychic mind that falls out of balance is dangerous for the health and cannot be in this state for long.

Towork towards fulfilling the psychic potential of your mind, thequalities of clarity, balance and open-mindedness are of utmost importance.

Psychic awareness is essentially not very different than normal awareness, however, psychic awareness is indeed more refined.

What is psychic awareness?

Besidethe term 'awareness' we also often use the terms 'knowledge' and'consciousness'. There are slight differences between these terms.

Knowledgeof a thing usually means the methods or processes we could do with that thing. Being conscious of a thing means that we are consciously awareof that thing. Being aware of a thing means identifying with it to adegree, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Psychicawareness includes all these. Refined psychic awareness is aboutknowing something so well, so completely that you are one with thething you observe.

A master psychic is simply aware.

Psychic ESP

The 'ESP' in psychic ESP stands for extra-sensory perception.

Wehave five traditional bodily senses, and therefore five ways of sensoryperception: hearing, touch, smell, taste and sight. ESP meansperception that comes from beyond our bodily senses.

Wecan say that there are two basic views about what actually constitutesESP: the 'non psychic ESP' view and the 'psychic ESP' view.

The'non psychic ESP' view correctly recognizes that it is not our ears oreyes where perception truly occurs, but in our brain. This is whereuseless data is converted into useful information, and perception as weexperience it occurs mostly within our brains. According to the nonpsychic ESP view, our brains are the biological source of ESP.

The'psychic ESP' view recognizes that on the deepest level our humanselves are one with the universe; our consciousness is theconsciousness of the universe. We are capable of psychic ESP because weare one with the things we perceive.

Both the 'non psychic ESP' and the 'psychic ESP' views are important to psychic development.

People often think of psychic abilities as supernatural or paranormal.

"Psychicabilities are not natural, and since I'm a normal human I cannot havepsychic abilities." Such a statement is a self-fulfilling psychicprediction itself, and nothing kills psychic abilities faster than suchthoughts.

We must not confuse the words'natural' and 'normal'. Psychic abilities are natural, however sincemost people choose to suppress or ignore them, they are no longer thenorm.

So, psychic abilities are natural (andnot supernatural), but unfortunately they are still paranormal (meaningbeyond the norm). The good news is that norms and normality can bechanged to become less superficial and more natural.

Embrace psychic abilities as part of your psychic nature, and create new norms others can be inspired by.

Accurate Psychic

Accurate psychic abilities are a matter of sufficient understanding and communication.

Anaccurate psychic has to keep in mind two main possible sources oferror: errors caused by the inaccuracies of perception andcomprehension of the psychic, and errors caused by communicating thisunderstanding to others.

To be anaccurate psychic, the psychic must first minimize the unclaritieswithin oneself. Maintaining a soft grasp on psychic knowledge, developing emotional and intellectual clarity, and continuouslystriving to improve will lead to more accurate psychic abilities.

Sinceoften the results have to be communicated to other people, furtherproblems may arise. The limits of comprehension of other people as wellas the psychic's psychological, social understanding and communicationskills influence just how accurate psychic results can be.

To be an accurate psychic, work on developing inner clarity and be aware of the limits of perception and communication.

Psychic Powers

The two basic psychic powers are the power of passive perception and the power of active imagination.

All humans possess and use these powers regularly. However, a psychic makesthese powers into psychic powers by giving them more depth and andfusing them more closely together.

Perceptionwithout imagination leaves you with information you don't know what todo with, and is often seen as more of a pain or irritation rather thana blessing.

Imagination without perception leaves you curled up in your inner world, and bumps you down to the bottom of the food chain.

Integratingthese two psychic powers requires a lot of personal development, butthe result is well worth it. This dynamo of psychic powers presents youan endless well to draw specific psychic abilities from and use themwith good judgment and purpose.

A master psychic is a human person who is of this world, but is not bound by it.

Psi Ball

Making a psi ball is basic exercise for a psychic.

Takea moment to relax and 'tune in' to the energy flows around you. Tostart making a psi ball, take one stream of psychic energy and let itflow in the form of a circle or sphere. There are two main aspects formaking a psi ball: motion and quality.

Aimto make the motion within the psi ball stable and well-formed, so thatlater you can influence it with almost no effort. The quality of theenergy the psi ball is made of influences greatly its motion, so forstarters try operating with a 'clean' energy.

To finish the exercise, let the psi ball dissolve by changing the psychic energy flows again.

Unlessyou want to, it is not necessary to make any physical motions with yourbody. Go through these stages within your imagination and make a clear, coherent and responsive psi ball.

Thewhole purpose of the psi ball exercise is for the psychic to recognizeand master the connection between imagination and reality.

Psychic Tools

A psychic can use many psychic tools, ranging from purely mental and spiritual systems to physical focus items.

Theimportant thing to remember is that psychic tools only serve to enhancethe psychic's own abilities, and not the other way around. (It is acommon pit fall to assume that it is the psychic tools doing the workand not the psychic.)

Some of the most widely used psychic tools are systems of astrology and the system of tarot. The most famous psychic tool is the crystal ball, which can be an aid for psychic meditation. Crystals or other items of purity canhelp with tuning in with a particular energy signature. Items ofpersonal significance can serve as focus items, reminding and amplifying meditative processes.

Thereare many psychic tools at your disposal. In truth, everything is partof this world and almost anything can be used as a psychic tool if you find proper use for it.

Improper use of psychic tools results only in distraction; be sure to regard tools only as tools and nothing more.

Psychic Astrology

Psychic astrology is one of the most commonly used psychic tools.(Unfortunately, psychic astrology is even more commonly used forsuperficial entertainment purposes.)

Thepsychic system of astrology attempts to describe the inner world ofhumans as it relates to the outer world in an objective manner.Amazingly, perhaps due to thousands of years old traditions, it canpaint a pretty accurate picture.

The system ofpsychic astrology works by creating an abstract and simplified versionof the world, and by observing the relations and patterns in thissimplified system the psychic can make parallel observations in thereal world.

What psychic astrology is not:

It'snot a tool for finding out your 'fate or future written in the stars'.Besides being very inaccurate, such a closed-minded approach to psychicastrology (and life in general) can be devastating to a psychic, and isa serious misuse of this potentially valuable tool.

Psychic Tarot

Psychic tarot can serve as a great tool for a psychic, especially in the beginning.

A tarot deck is constituted of 78 cards: 22 cards in the major arcana and56 cards in the minor arcana. The tarot cards of the major arcana arerelated to higher and more general psychic matters, while the minorarcana to everyday and more specific matters.

I have been asking people what decks they use smile Check out my blog below Twitter Facebook Poll Question smile This week!

The images in this psychic tarot deck are powerful and offer intuitive guidance on both mental and emotionallevels for the psychic.

A good wayto learn about psychic tarot is to simply meditate and think about theconcepts and images of each tarot card. Even for advanced users ofpsychic tarot, meditating about the cards and how they relate to eachother (and the psychic) is a common and essential process.

Although meditating on the tarot cards is important, performing a psychic tarotreading adds more depth and learning potential for a psychic. (Watchinga psychic tarot reading is also interesting for spectators.)

It is important to understand the psychic tarot reading process:

Theunderstanding of individual tarot cards and their relationships witheach others gives the psychic a framework to operate from.

Byasking a clear, concise question and shuffling the deck by hand thepsychic harmonizes the conscious and non-conscious aspects of his orher mind - as well as the inner and outer worlds.

By laying out the spread of tarot cards, the psychic is provided with a more objective window on the world.

The simple process of psychic tarot reading can offer much to a beginner oradvanced psychic. However, it is important to remember that the tarotcards don't tell anything - the psychic does.

Amaster psychic already knows the answer when asking the question, butspreading the cards can put this answer into a simplified, more easilyexpressible form that can be communicated to others or remembered for future reference.

Psychic Meditation

Meditation is a basic and essential tool for a psychic.

Weusually use meditation as tool of relaxation, a way to quiet our mindsfrom everyday problems. Psychic meditation takes this basic concept ofmeditation and builds upon it in many ways.

Oncethe psychic learns to banish 'junk' thoughts (thoughts which serve nopositive purpose) from his or her mind efficiently and consistently, psychic meditation can be practiced.

Through psychic meditation, the psychic learns to blend perception and imagination, passive and active. The psychic observes how perceptionflows into imagination, and vice versa. With practice, reaching andmaintaining this meditative state becomes easier.

The state of psychic meditation can and should be used as a starting point for other activities:

Obtaining specific knowledge becomes a fast and natural thing and specific problems may vanish instantly simply by observing them from this state of psychic meditation.

Psychic Dreams

Consciousness is a wondrous thing, and this is partly because of psychic dreams.

Experiencetells us that our waking states and dream states are quite different. This is often so because we reject the side of the world we are notfamiliar with, and in this case we rarely have psychic dreams.

Apsychic, as a master of consciousness, works within him- or herself tostreamline and make whole different states of consciousness. Thus, psychic dreams become more frequent.

Sometimes dreams seem more real than our waking reality.

Amaster psychic integrates (through inner balance and clarity) thepsychic dream state into the waking state - and achieves a morecomprehensive and unified view of reality.

Payattention to your psychic dreams, but don't arrive at hasty and unnecessary conclusions. Observe the experience and see where it takesyou.

Psychic Connection

A psychic connection or relation is a basic building block of the psychic's perception.

Welike to think of the world around us as a collection of 'things';stable and unchanging forms. However, the psychic knows the the onlyconstant in the universe is change.

There are no 'things' - there is a motion and change of connections and viewpoints.

Since the universe is made out of consciousness of this motion, we as humans often feel a psychic connection to others or the world around and inside us. A psychic does not ignore such feelings of psychic connection, but follows them instead.

Psychic connection is the more basic reality of the universe.

Psychic Intuition

Psychic intuition is an ability we all have.

Intuitionis just a term we use when we know something, but cannot explain how weknow it. (Often the knowledge itself gained through intuition is vague.)

Psychologists call it 'intuition' when our subconscious extracts information from thevast amounts of data our minds have gathered, and psychics call it'psychic intuition' when our consciousness connects with a baserreality and presents us a gleam of information from there. (For practical purposes, 'intuition' and 'psychic intuition' are the same.)

Apsychic has to be able to assume two different attitudes towards psychic intuition: Sometimes it is enough to trust your own psychicintuition and go along with it, while sometimes it is more important tofind out where the intuition came from.

Through practice, the psychic is able to balance the two attitudes towards psychic intuition. Depending on the situation, both attitudes may leadthe psychic to greater insights.

A masterpsychic can expand his or her consciousness both ways and improves theprocess of psychic intuition to the point of surety.

Psychic Healing

Psychic healing is an ability a psychic can develop.

There are three basic ways psychic healing can be used: healing oneself, helping others heal themselves, and healing others.

Healing oneself is the first psychic healing ability to practice. Even if one is already healthy, since we change with each moment in our lives, the process of psychic healing is crucial to being whole.

Helping others heal themselves is a psychic healing process that is less draining for the psychic and in the long term more beneficial to theperson being healed. Since the psychic observes things other don't normally notice, communicating these observations to others can be very useful in prevention as well as actual healing.

Healing others directly is a process that is exhausting (and potentially dangerous) for the psychic, and more beneficial in the short term forthe person being healed.

A Spiritual Psychic

A psychic healer is a person who has to maintain great balance at the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels.

One-sidedspiritual views, unclear thoughts, emotional fears or physical sicknessall cause imbalance at their respective levels of being, and any suchimbalances negatively influence the psychic healer.

In such a case, the psychic healer must heal himself/herself first.

Healingothers is a process in which the psychic healer identifies at whichlevel lies the imbalance, finds out the root causes, considers variouspossible solutions, chooses one and finally realizes the actual healing.

Thepsychic healer seeks out the necessary information by becoming one withthe person being healed, and herein lies the danger: the psychic facesand assumes the imbalances of others as his/her own, and must be ableto heal oneself instantly - and then proceed to offer the state ofwholeness to the other person.

Psychic Energy

Psychic energy is the psychic's way of looking at things.

The psychic's sight is influenced by two major concepts: oneness and change. Everything is one, and everything changes.

Thepsychic does not have the luxury of categorizing things and pretendingthat knowledge is gained by categorizing. Instead, the psychic aims toexperience things directly.

Psychic energy isoneness in change. Psychic energy is consciousness, change, life, nature, god, motion, potential etc., depending from what perspective welook at it.

A psychic can attempt todescribe the perception of psychic energy by using terms and phraseslike 'clear energy', 'indigo energy', 'energy signature', 'balancedenergy flow'. Instead of categorizing, these words serve as guidelinesto achieve and understand the same experience the psychic has.

Psychic Surgery

Psychic surgery is the act of performing a psychic operation.

Apsychic surgery can be performed at the spiritual level (dealing withperspectives), the mental level (dealing with thoughts) and theemotional level (dealing with fears).

Themost important tool in a psychic surgery is the psychic's sight.Psychic sight is a wonderful ability: by looking at a point the psychiccan create something out of seeming nothingness or reduce it back to'nothing'.

The process of psychic surgery is the following:

Bythoroughly understanding the situation and the problem at hand, thepsychic is able to make the smallest psychic cuts at the key places. This frees up suppressed and unhealthy energy flows. After that, thepsychic's task is to simply guide for a short time the consciousness ofthe person who just had psychic surgery.

Whilethe psychic is preventing the energy flows from collapsing to theunhealthy state again, the consciousness of the person healed is ableto create healthy energy flows and a healthy form.

The psychic ability to perform psychic surgery requires delicate understanding of destructive and creative processes.

Psychic Help

Psychic help can be given and received in many ways.

Psychicreadings, psychic advice, psychic healing, offering psychic energy (orchanneling excess psychic energy away) are some of the ways for psychichelp.

Yet, in most cases psychic help issimply about psychic presence. Even non-psychics often invoke thepresence of others in the hearts and minds; the psychic is just able todo it more efficiently and acknowledges the reality of the connection.

Psychichelp through psychic presence is like the magic flick of a finger: theperceived reality changes ever so slightly, and the problem can be seenfrom a different light.

Einstein said that problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that createdthem. Psychic help through psychic presence ups the awareness of theone helped to a higher level so it is able to solve the problem fromthere.

Psychic Circle

A psychic circle can mean a variety of things, but let's focus on one of the building blocks of psychic activity.

Apsychic observes motion and change. A psychic circle is a motion thatchanges into the same thing - there is constant change, but from someviewpoints it looks like it's not changing at all.

Such motions, such psychic circles create form as we know it.

Ona more general level, psychic energy flows that are consistent, stableand permanent can also be called a psychic circle. For example, ahealthy human has a healthy psychic circle of energies.

Theimportant thing to remember about psychic circles is that they caneasily become psychic spirals: an advance upwards to a higher spiritual level or a downward spiral of being imprisoned by form.

A psychic, especially a psychic healer, has to be able to observe and balance psychic circles and the motions of psychic energy within and outside of our human selves.

Psychic Wars

The idea of psychic wars is a bit far fetched, but it's worth dissecting it for any insights it might offer.

Warlikementality does not suit a psychic. Death, change, and conflict are byall means important concepts for a psychic to see, understand and use. However, strife and 'us against them' kind of thinking blurs psychicvision.

Most people envision psychic warssomething like a war of superheroes - ordinary humans with ordinaryways of thinking who just happened to acquire extra powers. This is notso.

A psychic gains psychic powers by inner, personal development. It is the psychic who expands his/her identity;psychic powers are not simply granted from 'elsewhere'. Personal development increases not only psychic powers, but also personalresponsibility.

The terms 'psychic' and 'wars' do not mix well together.

Psychic Warrior

A psychic warrior is a psychic who focuses on the destructive side of the psychic world.

(Amaster psychic is psychic warrior as much as a psychic healer. Bothcreative and destructive aspects have to be mastered and balanced.)

Who does the psychic warrior fight? There is no worthier opponent than one's own self.

Thepsychic warrior is a being of constant change. Viewpoints andperspectives are assumed, compared, and discarded - this process formsthe core of the psychic warrior. The very identity of the psychicwarrior changes: moves forward away from the old, looks back, compares, integrates and becomes a new person - every moment.

The fight of the psychic warrior revolves around the questions "Who am I?" and "Who or what do I wish to be?"

Themain tool of the psychic warrior is self-discipline - the strength toclearly determine where the priorities lie and persevere in achieving them.

Psychic Training

Althoughinner development is very important for a psychic, without psychic training the progress stands still at a cocoon stage.

Psychic training is basically the testing stage for a psychic. After an innerbreakthrough or accomplishment has been achieved, it is time tointegrate it, realize it, and put it to use in relation to the outerworld as well.

Psychic training is the timeto let down the defenses and feel the waves, so to speak. This act, this process reveals flaws or imbalances within the psychic, and alsopoints out the way how to proceed.

Psychic training is not complex - what it requires is courage.

Lookfor fears on the emotional level, inconsistent thoughts on the mentallevel, and exclusiveness on the spiritual level. Finding the courage tonotice, face, overcome and change these form the essence of psychic training.

Psychic Self-Defense

Let's address what does not constitute proper psychic self-defense first:

Resistingwhat assails you is not proper self-defense on the psychic level.Resisting something makes it more powerful. This is the ignorant man'spsychic self-defense; it comes with huge drawbacks and a psychic cannotafford it.

There are two aspects to psychic self-defense: internal and external.

Theenemy that attacks us internally is popularly known as FUD - fear, uncertainty, doubt. Although outside sources can make FUD grow orsubside, they can only do so if it already exists within. The properpsychic self-defense against our own selves is trough clarity, knowledge, and personal integrity.

Againstexternal energy flows that attack us the essence of the proper psychicself-defense is to take a deep breath and let it go through. This wayit does not grow stronger and the psychic gains valuable information.Suspending potential judgment and disgust is a must - a psychic cannotlook away and hide.

Psychic self-defense is a matter of candor and courage.

Psychic Protection

Whenin a difficult situation, it is often prudent to ask others for helpand protection, and conversely, to offer it to those who ask.

Due to being able to see more, the psychic is often in the position to offer psychic protection.

Establishingpsychic protection is much like being a gatekeeper: the psychic standsbetween the person protected and the menacing energies. This way thepsychic is able to protect the person from the energies, and also theperson from his or her own ambition.

Psychicprotection is dynamic. By examining the situation carefully, thepsychic can determine if the person can handle everything at once(needing no psychic protection), or if it is best for the person toface things step-by-step.

Providingpsychic protection can be disadvantageous to the psychic if the psychicis overprotective - the difference between psychic protection andpsychic prison is mostly a matter of perspective.

Psychic Vampire

Apsychic vampire uses a technique which works in the opposite direction than a psychic attack: instead of hurling psychic energy away, thepsychic vampire tries to siphon it in from others.

Thepsychic vampire feels an emptiness inside, and instead of facing thatemptiness such people try to cover it up by bloating their egos withthe energies of others. Basically, the psychic vampire tries to livethe life of others. The tools of a psychic vampire are manipulation andinducing of fear.

Between adults, the energy transfer involving the psychic vampire and the victim isusually consensual on some level. (Children can be most at risk, especially if the psychic vampire is one of the parents.)

Defendingagainst a psychic vampire does not require much sophistication. Simplydecline to participate, as you would with a polite request.

Although psychic vampires subconsciously rely on a psychic technique, they are a far cry from being psychic.

Psychic Seduction

Psychic seduction is a technique which attacks the decision-making process ofthe target. Psychic seduction is similar to psychic vampirism, butwhile vampirism uses fear to manipulate, psychic seduction manipulatesdesires.

Psychic seduction is about smoke and mirrors, shiny things and illusions.

Insteadof facing the emptiness inside, usually the one who uses psychicseduction prefers to escape into the fleeting world of illusions andtries to make others want to populate the same world too.

Defendingagainst psychic seduction works by restraining oneself from jumpingreflexively after a shiny thing like a trained animal would, taking amoment of pause, and making a contemplated decision. This way theillusions of psychic seduction are changed to open possibilities whichempower.

Psychic Phenomena

All phenomena are psychic phenomena.

Forexample, consider the common phenomenon of a flower growing in nature.A regular person considers a flower growing to be normal and ignores itwithout second thoughts. The reality of these psychic phenomena isoutside the personal reality of most people.

Ascientist could consider the act of flowers growing, but would notacknowledge them as psychic phenomena. Categorizing and understandingthe parts of a system is what a scientist does.

Apsychic feels the deep reality of psychic phenomena. A psychic canextend his or her consciousness and move along with the flow of things. For a psychic, a growing flower is not simply an external thing to beobserved. It is an external reality which matches an internal reality -the psychic actually feels the growing flower and acknowledges thebeauty of this complex motion.

Psychicphenomena are not separate from commonplace events. By taking off thesunglasses from our minds by which we filter the world so it would fitour perception, we can notice that psychic phenomena occur everywherewhere we take the time to observe.

Psychic Friends

Psychic friends are in the position to develop and enjoy a deeper relationship.

Thefriendship between two or more persons is greater than the sum of itsparts because the relationship also creates a new 'whole', a newidentity of its own.

There are two ways being psychic influences the relationship of psychic friends.

The first way is how being psychic brings lessinto a friendship: less fear, less deception, less manipulation, lessjealousy, less miscommunication etc. This is because psychicdevelopment is closely related to personal development where developinga clear and strong personality is the goal.

The second way is how being psychic can bring morefor psychic friends: more tolerance, more understanding, more empathy, more love, more responsibility, more transparency, more honesty.Instead of just regular means of communication, it is possible forpsychic friends to develop telepathic (mental) or empathic (emotional)communion.

Keep an open heart and explore the possibilities of psychic friendship.

Psychic Children

All children are psychic children. Being psychic or not is a description that applies mostly to adults, not children.

Anewborn child is a clean slate, born completely exposed to thesurrounding world. The psychic energies are overwhelming; there is noother option but to let them through.

Thereare two phrases that attempt to describe the state psychic children arein: 'complete faith in God' and 'blissful ignorance'. This state ofconsciousness serves as a protective and nurturing bubble until theydevelop themselves as individual persons.

Asthey grow up, psychic children may become psychic or non-psychicadults. A non-psychic adult took the path of eroding the 'completefaith in God' part of the psychic bubble and tries to regain the'blissful ignorance' part. A psychic adult extends the first part toalso mean 'complete trust in oneself' and converts the bubble intoblissfully open presence.

Psychic childrenhave the task to develop their individuality and make their inner worldstrong enough to face the outer world without fear.

Ask A Psychic

If you don't know something, the fastest and usually most prudent way isto ask someone who does know. Ask a psychic if you want advice aboutspiritual matters.

Most peopledon't seem to realize that an answer can only be as good as thequestion which it answers. A lousy or misdirected question can get onlyan equally bad answer.

If you ask a psychic, make sure to ask the right questions.

As the proverb says, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Ask not for fish, but for pointers on how to improve your fishing skills.

Apsychic will not solve your problems for you - ask a psychic for adviceon how to gain the knowledge and strength to solve them yourself.

Psychic Advice

A psychic is often asked to give psychic advice to others. Therefore, giving psychic advice is a meaningful skill for a psychic to develop.

Beforeformulating the psychic advice, the psychic should consider the form ofthe question, the purpose and intent behind it, the person who asks thequestion, his or her background and limitations, as well as the contextof the question.

When asked for psychic advice, there are several approaches a psychic can take to answering them:

- the psychic can answer the form (rather than the essence) of the question

- the psychic can refuse to answer or point out that the person should find the answer on his own

- the psychic can guide the person to asking a more relevant question

- the psychic can answer the essence (rather than the form) of the question

Whenoffering psychic advice in a particular situation, determining which approach will be most beneficial is up to the sense of balance of the psychic

Psychic Readings

Psychic readings are an important tool in the psychic's arsenal for gathering information.

Doingpsychic readings is like following a trail: the trail can be narrow orwide, long or not, a wild trail or a beaten path, winding or straight, filled with treasures or with dangers. You can take your time travelingit or run quickly to your destination, but the most important thing isto keep your eyes open and not stumble in the dark.

For successful psychic readings the psychic has to have three things: clarity, focus, and discernment.

Claritygrants entrance to the psychic realm and enables the psychic to dopsychic readings. The focus of psychic readings creates the goal andthe drive to move forward. Discernment is the navigation of psychicreadings; it determines the direction to take.

Thefinal component for successful psychic readings is experience -practice makes perfect. If the psychic can master clarity, focus anddiscernment, then these underlying mechanisms for psychic readings can be delegated to the subconscious and doing psychic readings becomessecond nature.

It is important tonote that it is not only about reading what is there, but also creatingwhat you wish to be there. This way you also notice/create relevant synchronicities more often. For example, if your are doing a psychicreading about a person's health, then you trace the lines of energy, feel the texture and notice the obstructions - but at the same time, you look for alternative flows and create them just by looking.

Psychic Clairvoyant

'Psychic clairvoyant' is an essential psychic stereotype - a psychic clairvoyant is a person who has clear psychic sight.

Aclairvoyant gains psychic abilities directly through inner, spiritualclarity. This approach is most powerful and rewarding, but alsorequires lot of inner work and deep self-honesty.

Balanceis very important for a psychic clairvoyant. If he or she developspsychic clarity only in a few select places and disregards others, thedifference in sheer power may cause great damage.

Anotherpitfall is regarding psychic sight only as a passive ability ofperception. By focusing only on this side of the coin, the psychicclairvoyant may lose touch with the active ability of creation which isthe complementing aspect of psychic sight.

A psychic clairvoyant lives and breathes the psychic world.

Psychic Reader

Startingout on the psychic path is often the hardest. A psychic readercomplements spiritual clarity with a psychic system, tradition ordiscipline and gains psychic abilities by uniting these two.

Apsychic reader can find logic, stability, coherency, and a degree ofobjectiveness in a good psychic system, tradition or discipline. Usingthe knowledge others have developed and distilled into a usable formcan prove beneficial to the psychic reader.

Apsychic reader usually follows a system which focuses on the passive, perceptive aspect of psychic sight (eg. astrology). Practitioners ofsystems which focus on the active, creative aspect of psychic sight(eg. cabalism) are often called 'mages'.

Itis very important to use a psychic system as a tool and not confuse thesystem with the world it represents. Many aspiring psychic readersbecome prisoners of their own perception because of this mistake. Anexperienced psychic reader is aware of the limitations of the system heor she uses.

Psychic Medium

A psychic medium is a psychic who directly accesses energies higher thanhis or her spiritual level. A medium is also called 'psychic channel'and the act 'channeling'.

A psychic mediumintentionally or unintentionally isolates, sacrifices or burns out apart of his or her psychic energy flow to be able to be able to accesshigher psychic energies. Such a person is like a lightning rod forpsychic energies: there are places where the lightning should hit andthere are places where it shouldn't. The tension between the differentpsychic energy levels may cause great destruction within the psychicmedium if there's a mistake.

A healthy, normal person is like a miniature ecosystem of psychic energies. Thesubconscious usually takes care of maintaining balance, even if it isdone by imposing stronger limitations. A generalist psychic removesthese limitations through inner development one level at a time, alwaysstriving for a greater, more conscious state of balance. A psychicmedium rather creates two psychic ecosystems within, and uses one topull up the other. (Please note that the terminology I used is quiteinadequate to describe these processes accurately.) In comparison, aperson with a severe mental illness has psychic energies all jumbledup, sometimes even to the point of losing his or her identity.

Psychicmediumship is not advised for anyone but experienced psychics who havesturdy spiritual, mental, emotional and physical integrity, can useadvanced channeling techniques and are well aware of the risks. If you're just starting out, it's much better to take it just one step at a time.

If You Are Psychic...

If you are psychic - don't stop learning!

Beingpsychic is not a yes-or-no thing. It's about seeing more, doing more -living a more fulfilled life. If you have mastered a step on the road, congratulations! Rest as long as you feel like it, then carry on whereyour heart leads you.

If you are psychic, use what you have learned, even if only in a seemingly small way.

Ifyou are psychic, act responsibly. All kinds of power, including psychicpower, come with responsibility towards yourself. If you lie toyourself in one way or another, ultimately you will use the power youattained against yourself.

If you are psychic - enjoy it! Beauty is all around us, with your eyes open you can see the beauty and be one with it.

If you are psychic, help and teach. Pass on your insights to those who are hungry for them but got a bit disoriented on the way.

Developing Psychic Awareness

The process of developing psychic awareness can be done in small steps or big ones.

Ifyou develop psychic awareness in big steps, you can get there faster, but you are also more likely to lose your footing and fall flat on yourface. That's not necessarily a bad thing if you don't mind theoccasional bruise - just make sure to learn from your failures.

Ifyou develop psychic awareness in small steps, you may not move as fastas you'd like, but your progress will be steady. However, your are notalone in this world, and the world moves as well. Some risks arenecessary, and if you have the right attitute you won't be afraidmaking choices which include risks - just be smart about it.

Find your own pace.

Duringthe course of time even your pace will change. Your comfort zone andlearning abilities change - you change. Accept that change, and beprepared to find your pace, your 'level of vibration', again and again and again. Look forward to it.

How Psychic Are You?

The degree of your psychic awareness or psychic abilities is not measuredby some external test - it is measured by how useful your abilities areto you.

How psychic are you? You are very psychic. Everybody is.

Whydon't we use more of our psychic powers on a daily basis? We likestability, we like to be sure in our knowledge (even if it is lacking),we are afraid of what we can do because we would have to face theconsequences and take responsibility for them.

Be confident in yourself and be responsible. Better your attitude at every opportunity.

Bigpsychic powers lie in little things. Mastering the little things getsyou prepared to handle the greater influx of psychic energies. Don'ttry to force the flow, just aim for greater elegance and simplicitywith what you can influence.

Psychic abilities and psychic awareness come naturally - be ready.

Are Psychics Accurate?

If you have to ask this question, the answer is more likely to be 'no'.

Thequestion is, are you on the path of the psychic yourself, or do youjust want to find an accurate psychic to help you with your troubles?

Ifyou are a psychic who is looking to improve, you are much more likelyto accurately answer your own questions then if you try to find someoneelse to answer them for you.

There is nomystery to this: you already know yourself to some degree, and you canunderstand your thoughts and way of thinking better. Even if otherpersons can understand you better, that still doesn't mean that theycan make you understand yourself as well.

The most accurate psychic lies within.

Work on improving your accuracy by aiming for emotional clarity, intellectual excellence, and spiritual fulfillment.

Test Psychic Ability

Why test your psychic ability? Don't do it to show off - do it because it's good practice.

Unfortunately, psychic tests you can find in popular magazines are just worthlessgarbage. Even scientific tests are generally still garbage.

Fortunately, there are better ways to test psychic ability. Remember that psychicabilities come from the subjective side or reality - and the key tothat reality is yourself.

You are always therefor yourself. Your thoughts, your emotions, your actions, yourinteractions - these can all be good ways to test psychic ability.Pretty much anything you do or anything you see can become a psychic test.

Try to see the future, if only for thenext second. Try to see the past. Instead of looking at a thing the wayyou ordinarily perceive it, try to perceive it in ten more differentways. Play with your thoughts - what if you skip a step? Visualize your thoughts, visualize your desires, visualize the music you are listening to.

Think of such tiny tests for yourself anddo them a million times - your psychic experiences and yourunderstanding of them are bound to increase and improve.

Are Psychics Real?

It depends on how you define who a psychic is.

Let'stake for example Santa Claus. If you go to the north pole and look fora toy factory with cute little elves in it - you won't find it. On theother hand, if you go to a mall at around Christmas time, you willprobably find a Santa Claus or two.

A psychicis not a kind of superhuman being - if that is what you expect, thenpsychics are not real. If you are looking for students of the humanmind and the spiritual side of the universe, then you will see thatpsychics are real.

Understanding trumps expectiation, every time. Be careful with your assumptions.

'Psychic'is just a term which should be used if you know its meaning. If youunderstand the meaning well, then psychics are real.

Physical - Psychic

Physical means 'bodily' or 'material'. Psychic means 'mental' or 'spiritual'.

'Physical'refers to the objective side of the universe. We presume that theuniverse will be there even if we're not looking at it, and that itexists as a reality separate from our personal experience.

'Psychic'refers to the subjective side of the universe. Although we believe inthe objective, all we can experience is our perception of that reality.

'Physical'and 'psychic' are two sides of the same coin. ('Physical' is the'hardware' and 'psychic' is the software.) If we use only one of thetwo exclusively, we are confusing the coin with only one side of it.

Theworld is; with feeble attempts at categorization and rationalization wecannot comprehend the whole physical psychic beauty of it.

How To Improve Psychic Abilities?

Psychicabilities can be successfully improved by paying attention to smallerthings in life - it is good practice and there's not much risk ifthings go wrong.

The requirement for this approach is self-discipline.

Thereason why most people rather disregard their psychic potential ratherthen improve upon it is because they find self-discipline to be hard -it's too much thought, too much energy, too much willpower, too muchclarity and self-honesty.

If you practiceon the little things; little perceptions and little observations, youcan find out a great deal about yourself which will help you tackle thebig stuff.

Improving psychic abilities can bea long process, but sooner or later your consciousness will tie it allup in a neat little package and give it to you as a present - at thatpoint your realize that you have already mastered what you set out toimprove.

The universe has a way of changinglittle things to big ones, and big things too little ones - payattention to this process and you will be on the right track to improveyour psychic abilities.

Increasing psychic abilities is not so much about brute forcetraining, but rather improving your inner structure to be able towithstand greater flows of power.

If you haverealized the value of self-discipline and also the value of payingattention to minute details, you will also soon realize the value ofacceptance, clarity, and coherent structure.

The major tools of a psychic are his mind and his body - as they say, your body is your temple.

Psychicenergy is abundant in the world, there is no need to try and build upstockpiles of psychic energy in your body. What is important though, isto realize enough inner clarity to let your mind and body regenerateand withstand greater amounts and varying qualities of psychic energy.

Increasingpsychic abilities is a very simple process. What it requires in mostcases is the courage to face your fears and the honesty to admit yourfallacies.

Of course, it also helps to have agoal - what will you do with the greater influx of psychic energies? Ifyou don't let it out for some chosen purpose, it will cause damagewithin one way or another.

Enhancing psychic abilities is about integrating psychic knowledgeand finding new perspectives and new uses for the psychic abilities youhave developed.

Developing psychic abilitiesjust to have them is a bit short-sighted approach. What do you wish todo with your psychic abilities? What are your goals?

Itmakes sense to be prepared and have many tools in your toolbox, but italso make sense to practice using the right tool for whatever you wantdone.
